Pulmonary Function Test
A pulmonary function test (PFT) determines how well lungs are working by measuring how much volume and the speed with which you inhale and exhale. This test is very useful in diagnosing medical conditions like asthma, chronic bronchitis, lung fibrosis, COPD, asbestosis, and exposure to other hazardous airborne materials. A PFT is obtained to determine you baseline lung performance. It is also performed periodically during your employment to monitor for any evidence of deterioration of lung performance.
If you would like to schedule a PFT, please Occupational Health Consultants at 301-738-6420 to schedule an appointment.
